Holotype:— CHINA. Guangdong: Zhaoqing, Dinghu Mountain , Jilong Mountain , 22 April 1970, K.L.Shi 2 ( IBSC barcode 0000647 [photo!] , isotypes IBSC barcodes 0000646 [photo!] & 0000648 [photo!] ).

= Aristolochia fangchi Y.C.Wu ex L.D.Chow & S.M.Hwang in Ma (1989: 356).

Holotype:— CHINA. Guangdong: Zhaoqing, Dinghu Mountain , Longchuan Keng , 500 m, 3 August 1963, K.C.Ting & K.L.Shi 823 ( IBSC barcode 0000649 [photo!] , isotype HITBC barcode 003990 [photo!] ).

– Aristolochia fangchi Y.C.Wu ex L.D.Chow & S.M.Hwang (1975: 108) , not validly published, with two gatherings indicated as types, contrary to Art. 40.2.

Distribution: ―According to the most recent studies ( Zhang et al. 2006, Do et al. 2015, Zhu et al. 2019), Isotrema fangchi is distributed in China ( Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Yunnan), and Vietnam. Nonetheless, the voucher specimen of Zhang et al. (2006) collected in Hainan couldn’t be located at IBSC.
