Remarks. This species was described based on a single male from Bolivia. In the same work, Chevrolat (1863) described Cyphosterna ornaticollis based on a single female from Brazil (without further details). Gounelle (1911) synonymized C. ornaticollis with C. tripunctata . Currently, it is known from Bolivia ( Tarija), Brazil ( Goiás, Paraíba, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, S„o Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, and Argentina ( Jujuy, Formosa, and Misiones) ( Bezark 2023b; Monné 2023a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023).
